because Mexico is not paying for it---remember his other part of this?????

But it is clear that Democrats are going to oppose Trump on 100% of anything that he does.
lol sort of like what the Republicans did when President Obama was in office.

Anyhoo,
I don't have a problem with him building the wall but he said Mexico was going to pay for it. When Mexico pays for it then he can build it.

Until then?
No

Actually, Obamacare IS the GOP plan....suggested by the Heritage Foundation.

10 years? No. Hillary was working on single payer in 1996 - over 20 years back and was pilloried for it...the GOP said they had better ways.

They don't.

The perfect is the enemy of the good. There is no perfect plan....considering how far down the wrong road we have gone. The only sane thing to do is head back up TOWARD the right road with a plan that spans decades.

But we won't do it. Winston Churchill famously said "Americans will always do the right thing - AFTER all other possibilities have been expended"....that basically means we will bankrupt the country, live shorter lives, suffer more, etc. for another generation or two and maybe...if we still exist as a first world country, then get down to fixing things.

Sad, Really. So easy to do it right.

Are the juvenile insults really necessary? Ever heard of civil debate?

I believe that is an excellent description of trump tho I would have said narcissistic frat boy

I'm a numbers man. Don't give me your liberal BS when it comes to money.
lol and isn't it the conservative BS to cry about the federal deficit and a balance budget?

lol remember when the Conservative BS was really flying around here about how our poor children were going to be paying off the debt forever??

$25 billion dollars spent, when you already have 20 Trillion in debt --- and which likely results in a huge savings in $$ flowing to illegal immigrants - pays for itself very quickly and then gives ongoing benfits and cash flow far into the future. It's called a GOOD DEAL. No wonder the democrats oppose it and no wonder the government has never gotten border security taken care of. Spending money wisely isn't exactly what government does well. Taking money and redistributing it - after siphoning off a nice slice for themselves.....that's what they are experts at doing.

It makes my head spin how quickly they turned on every single issue....not a single one have they held onto. In addition, their current issues are usually anti-American and unconstitutional (loving Russia, excusing a POTUS who is likely a criminal, loving more pollution, etc.)....

The King of Debt is their hero. Tariff Man, not "free trade" is their hero. Occupying 1/3 of Syria forever (current plan) has replaced "fix things here first". In order to "fix" our corrupt government, they tripled the corruption and put inept people in charge....so we will pay more and get less.

Why doesn't Texas do everify? How much will that cost? Virtually nothing.
How much will that "save"? Gotta be 10 or more times the payback of your fantasy wall.

When you tackle problems you always start with the solutions that so the most for the least. Efficiency. Productivity. Symbolism and clown shows don't cut it.

Yes, as you well know, Republicans in Texas as well as the "Bush Center" (Texas, Bushes, etc.) all support immigration. The Kochs are total open border types and they are the #1 funders of the GOP....no one else even comes close.

Is this stuff you didn't know? Or do you just choose to ignore it?

Well, that would be one way to give Trump the war he's clearly itching for, maybe he'd even finally get to see a "parade" because he'd be stupid enough to believe that deploying troops and equipment would be in honor, rather than to create an actual war zone on our Southern border.

I can guarantee that Mexico's reaction to that would be exactly the same as his demands they pay for a wall, and something that starts with an F and ends with a U

I may have a problem with my sarcasm transmitter... Then again brownbagg's post may have been Poe's Law in action, as well.
