One is headline news day after day, you cant miss it. You know who she is. Maria Butina of course.
Can anyone tell me why the discrepancy in coverage, treatment?
The answer is quite obvious. Butina is no spy. She's just the latest victim of Mueller's bullying to force her to plead guilty to something she didn't even do to avoid other "Trumped" up charges.
Some will intentionally be obtuse, but rest assured they know there is a massive double standard in the American media and press.
It is the same for how certain people can say non-PC things and get away with it, maybe with just a slap on the wrist.
Yet others (not of the same ideological persuasion of the liberal media) have their lives turned upside down for saying the same thing or something not as bad.
I wish the media and everyone would drop the "spy" tag; they are not spies, neither have been accused of espionage which the the legal charge for spying.
The difference between spying and not registering as a foreign agent, conspiracy, whatever, is like the difference between murder and a speeding ticket.
The answer is quite obvious. Butina is no spy. She's just the latest victim of Mueller's bullying...
Separate investigation. Although with this many criminal prosecutions involving high-ranking GOPers, it can be hard to keep up.
A tale of an attempt at false equivalency. Senior officials eagerly cooperated with Butina, and we have their emails. We expect spies. We do not expect cooperators.

That someone was connected with the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of State Security.
“He didn’t even know what was happening — that he was being recruited,” says our source. “He just thought it was some friend.”
The FBI apparently concluded the driver hadn’t revealed anything of substance.
“They interviewed him, and Dianne forced him to retire, and that was the end of it,” says our source
