The president also was implicated (by his own Justice Department) in directing a scheme to hide hush-money payments to two former mistresses. What’s more, we learned, as Cohen did in receiving his three-year sentence, that the campaign-finance-related crimes are serious.

Meanwhile, Russian spy Maria Butina pleaded guilty. On another front, the Senate rebuked Trump on his lies about Mohammed bin Salman and his policy of unfettered support for the Saudi crown prince’s war in Yemen. (Revelations that Jared Kushner advised MBS, as the crown prince is known, during the cover-up phase of the murder of Post contributing columnist Jamal Khashoggi didn’t help matters.) In addition, we learned that not only Michael Cohen but executives at the National Enquirer tabloid are cooperating in revealing Trump’s hush-payment scheme. Then things really went downhill ...

Quite a summation of how president Trump's week has been going. He puts up a brave front.

I know Donald Trump isn't Happy he isn't controlling the new cycle. Look for Donald Trump to hold a campaign rally soon, that's what he does when he is under fire.

All you have to do is get a load of Trump's mug to see that he is not a happy camper. Always with the angry scowl or a worried harried look. He must be the most miserable schlub on the planet.

It's says OPINION right on that article. Maybe you ought to read it before attempting to defend it without thought or question.

LAWL. Indeed.

I bet WaPo won't say that. Their "opinion" as always certainly didn't age well. 1/2 life of maybe 5 hours.

I'm guessing this derangement topic will quickly fall off now. All the NPCs were proved wrong again.

I'm hoping for another Infrastructure Week.

That always seems to cheer him up.

Boy, is he ever ! I mean, he was never a happy looking guy, but lately he looks like he is really in pain. Even when he is attacking someone, he doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm for it that he once did. He used to get off when lying, but now he just seems to be going through the motions.

Hang in there, Donnie, it won't be too much longer and you can go on back to your little penthouse in NYC !

Or a few noisy rah! rah! rah! high school pep rallies, where mindless idiots cheer mindlessly at every mindless utterance that falls from the lying lips of their idiot-in-chief. Those always seem to cheer the mindless idiot in the WH up, too.

For a few hours, at least, until reality sets back in...

Speaking of which, he’s due for another, right? I feel like it’s been a few weeks since the last.
