The key feature shared by the two is an emphasis on ideology, further contaminated by a disdain for the normal processes of statecraft, and the desire for a scapegoat.
And although the contrast isn't as stark, the two have some traits in common with both contemporary populists and Social Justice Warriors. Trump sometimes panders to these "non-values", but anyone who claims that the Clintons, Sanders, and Ocasio-Cortez don't is either fooling him/herself, or lying through his/her teeth.
