Yeah but you are only here because Trump just changed his mind today. And he changed his mind due to pressure from the freedom caucus, and conservative media going wild from him being ready to sign the extension. Not because he really wanted to, but was pressured into keep his campaign promise.
You are absolutely correct he was ready to go but the Freedom Caucus changed his mind, the gift that keeps on giving. So now we have a bill that even the house GOP doesn't take seriously heading to the senate where it will fail, but this is what they do as was the case with the ACA funding. This is so enormously stupid even by house standards.

This is about America first. It also forces Mexico to finally do something by starting to put a stop to all these people coming in.
Mexico deports a lot of them, and it offered the caravan members the opportunity to stay there, even offering them jobs. Quite a few took that offer, but obviously not all. A lot of them are always going to have some level of distrust for the political situations in Latin America.
America isn't sacrificing anything by hearing out asylum requests or even granting them. The idea that the world's most powerful nation is a victim, or that it can be brought to its knees by a few thousand poor refugees is utterly ridiculous. How pathetic do you think the US is??
