The Federal Government is NOT a Company ... salaries are paid by the Citizen Taxpayers. Our Congressional Representatives refuse to do their JOB of passing Federal Budgets. Unions are suing the Taxpayers.

Unions organize against the Citizen Taxpayers. All employees of the Federal Government are well aware of what happens when the CongressCritters refuse to pass a Budget to pay their salaries.

I know that. My response is to another poster comparing the government shutdown to a private business that goes out of business.

Think that will fly?

People are hurting--and those who disparage them as freeloaders on furlough and vacation should be ashamed of themselves. Trump should be ashamed of himself for telling people to work for rent (because all federal workers rent--right?) Can they wash the mortgage holders' floors, as well? What is wrong with this man?

And the national parks are looking pretty disgusting as well. To top it off the 'stable genius' freezes federal worker pay--just to twist the knife.

Trump's bizarre assertion that federal workers are Democrats simply makes him look like an enemy of the people, and even more clueless, if possible. He is in the 'let them eat cake' mode, and the outcome of enraging and taunting the commoners may be similar.

ahhhhhh............

You seem to have completely forgotten Schumer's and Pelosi's role in it all for some reason.

Of course. You understand that running a union requires money, right?

Vote with your feet basically. Yes. Or call in sick a lot. The bosses will get the message.

On the other hand wouldn't a wall made border patrol's job easier? I think it would.

It’s based on the Fair Labor Standards Act that says Federal Employees must be paid on time for work.
This Lawsuit is about the “essential” employees that are working now .... filed on behalf of the largest Federal Union of 700,000 Federal Employees.

They won the earlier Lawsuit and even got Double Pay as the District Court ruling.
This is a massive Boondoggle.

Government reply (since they can’t pay during the Shutdown - should be:

To get the money to pay the Court case, we will NOT pay the Involuntary Furloughed Employees.
Leftists think is some sort of Game.

Keep in mind that they are not really filing a Lawsuit against President Trump ... it’s the Citizen Taxpayers that are being sued to line the pockets of Lawyers, Unions and Trump Haters.
Hmmm. Were they Obama haters when they filed suit in 2013?

Or maybe, just maybe, unions seek to protect their members, regardless of who sits the oval.

Of course the union needs dues; I just want to note the Union's self interests. You understand?

The wall should enable a drastic reduction of border patrol forces.

Wonder how many years it would take to offset half of the all in cost of the wall, including acquisition of mostly private land.

I don't think that their interests were disputed, much less unreasonable. Do you?

Lol, yea right. Given my familiarity with the Wage & Hour Division, numerous people get screwed over in the private sector as well, and have to sue to get their pay owed to them.
