Factually true, but not some new-fangled idea Trump dreamed up.

With rare exception, feds always get Monday off when Christmas is on Tuesday...…...doesn't matter which party is in office.

Trump is just creating a distraction to divert attention from the DOJ breathing down his neck.

I wasn’t giving Trump credit for anything, trust me. lol. Only pointing out that for the majority of federal employees, the shutdown won’t really begin to affect them until next Wednesday. The majority of them have been on holiday since the shutdown began on Friday night, and will be til next Weds.

Oh, the humanity!
Wow, nice comment. I always wondered who and what made Mississippi so red, I guess I have my answer.

Since Mexico isn't paying for the wall, how is he upholding his campaign pledges? While campaigning, did he ever mention that the taxpayers were going to be stuck with the bill? No, of course not, as his followers never would have went for that. Oh, but if he says Mexico will be paying for it, they're all on board.

Trumpees are so easy to con.

Oh, and as for those Government Employees not knowing when they will see a check again. They're going to hold off on buying non essentials which has a negative effect on small businesses in their community. A person might have been considering getting their car detailed, but will put it off. That small business also has bills to pay and is depending on customers.

He flip-flopped after getting played by Limbaugh and Coulter.

His pledge was to have Mexico pay for the wall, and now he is shutting down the government because he didn't get the money from the American tax payer.

Happy to report the 3 stores, one laundromat, one canteen, and 2 restaurants I have done business with since the shutdown began are still 100% functional, staffed solely with ESSENTIAL employees.

Give me a friggin' break. I seriously hope you and others making these bon-marts have family who you will see over the next week who are these "non-essential employees" and give you a piece of their mind and a slap back into reality. You guys desperately need it. Y'all are Schrooges who are removed from reality.

You do remember that this is a partial government shutdown of some of the agencies?
