Are you feeling the non-essential government being shutdown?
Personally I'm not feeling anything different and business is booming.
Ask any medical/nursing/aides staff that is mandated to work (think VA clinics, etc.) but are deemed nonessential and will not get paid until the nonsense is over. Why medical and nursing staff are considered nonessential is something I don't understand.
When congress reconvenes on January 3rd, the house should pass the bill that went through the senate with a 100 - 0 vote last week and send that to tRump for his signature.
They could then claim that "Congress wants the government to perform its duties. Both houses have overwhelmingly supported this measure. It is the president alone who keeps the government shut down."

They can't. The bill dies with the congress. They could re-introduce it though, which is what I expect they will do. It will have to go to the senate then. It'll be interesting hearing GOP excuses why something they voted for unanimously two weeks prior can't even come up for a vote now.
Trump is the master manipulator of Dem.
And he's so unpredictable, even I have repeatedly failed to predict him.

I actually look forward to the next day and the day after that to see what kind of cra-cra stuff Trump will do. He's pretty much scr3wing the Rs and himself, so it's all fairly harmless for the Dems. For example, losing lawsuits for dumb stuff he does such as trying to take Acosta's pass away. And judges halting his illegal executive orders. And the constant turnover of his staff. And getting caught lying about illegal campaign contributions to pay off a porn star. I mean - that's great entertainment.
Yeah - our heads are exploding all right - from laughter.
All the Democrats left town days ago. they don't want a deal.
