Govt is just doing what its always done, when they restricted full autos, machine guns, this was the first step that the public should have aggressively fought to stop...but they didnt, heck, I dont think Ive ever heard anyone today calling to repeal the machine gun laws, so naturally Govt is going to try and take more ground away...ultimately they know the public will obey and comply!

more like those that label others gun nuts aren't doing too well in the poll. They aren't doing too well promoting gun control on a national level either.

Those people are just not as much into labelling, I guess.

Oh I think they are!!

Just wait until the next mass school shooting, where dozens of young kids are the victims! There will be 100s if not 1000s of people that say 'enough is enough' and stand in line willingly to turn over their guns (to law enforcement no doubt? LOL)

Eventually they will convince a large enough number of people...and anyone who STILL does not support gun control... will be labelled a domestic terrorist or sympathizer of terrorism.

Its much easier and effective to brainwash and condition the public, rather than try to force something upon them, IF England had used this tactic, the American Revolution would have never happened, they would just convinced everyone that life under monarchy was the safest and best thing for them.

The law restricts assault-style weapons. It seems to me commonsense that you would not want a weapon designed to kill a 750 lb. caribou, or a 1500 lb. grizzly bear to be carried on city streets.
10 bucks you can still buy one after the "ban".

No doubt about it. However SOME of those sales will be by law-abiding Americans wishing to STAY law-abiding, even at dimes on the dollar.
