McGurk is a respected negotiator who has meaningful relationships with our allies and some of our opponents
He is not a good man to lose--especially because Trump jerked the rug out from under him in this way

All the people who are cheering Trump's actions --- if their boss did that to them at work--undermined them, cut their authority, dissed them would be totally livid with animosity---and probably some mad enough to quit
Because they wouldn't care if the boss was making the RIGHT decision in an unfair manner...
Much less a bad decision in an embarassing way

So move up several levels in your thinking and understand this is NOT responsible behavior for someone who controls the codes to WOMD...
EVEN IF IT WAS A GOOD DECISON (which it is not to pretty much every political/foreign policy leader and analyst) the MANNER it happened just proves Trump is irrational and untrustworthy...

Good riddance.

There aren't many things a President could do that would more clearly "represent all Americans".

The lunatic fringe are the ones who want to start and continue wars around the globe.

Not a deflection. It's a clarification. The headline falsely implied that this guy was a Trump appointee.

Meaningful relationships. If these relationships are so meaningful why do Americans deride the French as "cheese eating surrender monkeys" and eat "freedom fries"? Because the French told the US to shove off when the US wanted them to join in military actions.

All allies do their own thing including putting up trade barriers; but they expect the US to play the big brother against all potential threats. Trump is saying enough. New rules will be negotiated with the allies. McGurk is doing all a favor of leaving and ending the trail of failure.

There are 35 million Kurds, living in Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran.
But, somehow they are all gonna die if 2000 US troops and some guy no one ever heard of pulls out of Syria.

The Left: THERE ARE ISIS FIGHTERS LEFT!!
Me: And the last Japanese soldier surrendered in 1972.

Democrats are no different than the old Republicans - all wanted war, all were willing to sacrifice young Americans, all were willing to go into debt for this.

Amazing how just saying no by a 72 year old political novice brings the house of cards down. The moaning of the liberal left on behalf an ex-Marine General who said apparently enjoyed killing so that endless wars can continue is astounding.

And who do you blame the next terrorist incident in America?
Obama???

If al the ISIS fighters were stranded on some isolated pacific island I don't think we would care
But they aren't
And you know it
If you want to make an example, pick a better comparison

It was Bush and Cheney who lied about yellow cake and sold America and the world a bill of lies to get troops into take out Sadam Hussain who has NOTHING to do with the Towers coming down and who had NO WMD
But he did have oil--and Cheney had lot of friends in the oil industry who wanted that pipeline

Now that we have wasted thousand of American lives, millions of civilians, trillions of dollars, and finally are close to putting the screws to Iran and ISIS/Caliphate, Trump makes a momentous decision totally w.o input from any administration leader or military leader--
Even Erdogan said don't be precipitate---
But Trump was bored with the conversation, frustrated that he couldn't deal with a complex issue--
So he just decided to pull out...

ON HIS HEAD BE IT
There are some decisions that he can't walk back, talk himself out of
This is definitely a Trump, one and only, decision
If it goes forward and he doesn't allow for some measured alterations he is creating an opportunity for Iran to profit from in huge measure

Why Israel isn't screaming bloody murder is strange
The only thing I can think of is that they want Iran to transgress so they have an excuse to nuke it
