You're never going to stop illegal immigration, the object of the wall/fence/barrier is to make it more difficult. It's like a lock on your door. If a thief wants inside your home/car/whatever bad enough, they will find a way in, but the lock slows them down, so hopefully, the police will arrive before they can make off with the stolen property.
I'm aware the liberals will use this same argument in favor of gun control, but we have this thing called the Second Amendment. There is no constitutional right to immigrate illegally into this country.
In other words, if we can't stop illegal immigration 100% don't do anything? Huh?
The majority of those illegally here, came legally to start with, and let papers lapse.
No, they didn't! We have at least 11 million illegals here and most were border jumpers. Stop the lies! We still have thousands every month violating our southern border.
It's not as simple as making a single sentence statements. Nobody claimed a border wall will stop illegal immigration 100%. The existing wall/fence/barrier has proven to work along the San Diego Tijuana border.
Apples and oranges. A gun law is not a physical barrier. Everyone could easily jay walk, but a physical barrier would making it very difficult to do so, making it not worth the effort.
OPs claims can be filed under BS.
Amazing, isn't it? We post fact after fact how the good walls are working and yet the same parrots are in here everyday saying "walls don't work"! Were they dropped on their heads when they were kids? They also make stupid remarks like "well we can't stop them all so a wall is useless". Unbelievable!
When was the last time that you saw a jail that worked that didn't have walls? Because that's where criminals who use guns end up.
i.e. Walls Stop Criminals. You just proved it.
Thank you for the topic. You summed it up exactly.
They are just in deep denial and they know it. They know damned well that walls, locks, doors are a deterrant to unwanted entry and that walls in jails and prisons do keep criminals in. They just want the flow of illegals to continue because of their own personal agendas none of which is in the best interests of our nation.
Those who cross will "not be the best, they are people with lots of problems, they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists."
Bah.
Those coming over and overstaying their visas will do the same.
As much as the coyotes are charging nowadays, they’re better off getting a passport and a visa.
Do you know why some bring drugs?
Because about 20% of the US population are drug addicts: they steal/rob, they neglect their children, they buy drugs, they perpetrate crimes, they murder people.

No.
The flow of illegals continues because employers continue to hire them. They covet illegal labor. that is the cause of illegal immigration.
When was the last time you saw a law-breaking employer go to jail?
States refuse to use e-verify as well.
Frankly, I think ALL employees should submit birth certificate/proof of nationalization/proof of residency plus fingerprints.
Every job I’ve had required it. Don’t see why everybody else can’t do the same.
That would be more effective than a wall that Mexico was going to pay for.
