I know what you are saying, and I agree - at least mostly so.
Depends on the felony and it depends on how many times our subject has committed a felony, shouldn't it?
There are some who should be released from prison, but never allowed to own a gun; others should be released with significant probation times; still others should go immediately right back into full fledged citizenship.

The report that there are more guns in private hands than military should not be alarming to any American. We are armed to the teeth in America.

There isnt one.

I lived in South Africa for years, spent some time in Nairobi as well. The police and army are completely corrupt (I knew an American robbed by police in Nairobi), and simply cannot be relied on to "serve and protect". Even murderers can find freedom once arrested for a small bribe. It's a fact.

People need to protect themselves. The government isnt going to do it.

Holding ANYONE to ANY crime for their entire life conflicts with one of the founding principles of the US system of justice.

Trying to see where there is a problem here. The law abiding public should ALWAYS be better armed that the state's police and military. Otherwise you end up with Nazi Germany, the USSR, Communist China, the Khmer Rouge-or Venezuela.

Are those on the left concerned that it's black people that are armed again? US "gun laws" came out of efforts to keep minorities disarmed and defenseless.

Chill with that nonsense. If the Kenyans started shooting whites, your tune would change quickly. Lol
