GOP -- Democrats supported a border wall until Trump became president but they always wanted it. Also, Democrats support open borders

And now they want shuttle service to bring illegals in.

SMH

The GOP accuse the Democrats with all sorts of things that don't make sense to what the GOP accuse the Democrats of. It's just as dumb as someone saying Mexico will pay for the wall when they really meant that Mexico would not pay for the wall.

I hear that politicians talk out of both sides of their mouth. I always took this to mean one side of the mouth tells the lie and the other tells the truth. With some politicians and one party, it seems they lie out of both sides of their mouth.

You’re correct. Trump’s base primarily consists of white blue collar voters whose share of total registered voters is dropping 2% to 3% with each Presidential Election cycle simply due to old age and fewer young replacements.

The vast majority of murders and rapes will be and always have been committed by American citizens. I know that doesn’t match the Fox News rhetoric, especially if those Americans happen to be white men, but it is what it is.

The same people who are salivating over a wall are not concerned about schoolchildren being murdered in their classrooms, especially if it means they might need to wait 72 hours for a gun while they have their background check and definitely if they have to sit through a boring gun safety class.

This is purely political theater. Trump owns the shutdown, though. They could carry on their dramatics with the government funded, but where’s the outrage in that? The House has asked to reopen while debating and the republicans said no. They own the problems that are arising.
Experts agree that a wall would reduce crime from unlawful immigrants.

you must ask yourself deep in your heart when you will stop debating and stop the killing.

There's about 350 million Americans, and possibly 30 million illegals, on the very high end. Of course Americans commit the majority of crime. What the hell is that supposed to prove?

The debate needs to go on. The wall will not stop immigrants who come through the borders and overstay their visas which is how most illegal immigrants come in. When your side says stuff like Stop the Killing when it's an illegal immigrant, but then says don't take away my rights when you think someone is about to challenge the Second Amendment, it tells us you're not really about stopping the killing as much as you are about stopping the brown people from coming into America.

Yes, some illigrants do bad things and we should try to stop those bad things from happening. We can use some of that ghuge amunt of money the inefective wall would cost to going about stopping illegal immigration. First, we could hire more ICE agents to track down those that overstay their visas.

And, this is what happened with that - stop repeating this nonsense:

This backlash resulted in the Hutchinson amendments (Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, R-Texas) that many now believe gutted the Act by allowing for a variety of mechanisms to achieve border security not just double fencing.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Sen. Pete Domenici (R-New Mexico) co-sponsored the Hutchison amendment along with three Democratic senators from border states.

Here's a local news story - Dallas News from May 2011.

At the time, her aides explained that Hutchison didn’t oppose the fence. She was responding to complaints from South Texans who thought their concerns about it were ignored. Local politicians, ranchers and business groups argued that the double-layered fence would carve up private property, hurt commercial ties with Mexico, and disrupt wildlife habitats. ... Whether an expensive border fence was the right policy is another issue. It’s fair to say there is disagreement about that. Texas’ own homeland security director, Steve McCraw, told a border security panel in October 2007: “A fence isn’t going to work. It’s not the solution.” Even Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, was an early skeptic. He told this newspaper in early 2006 that the fence was “a 19th-century solution to a 21st-century problem.”

So, stop blaming the Democrats. The real issue was people on the border did not want it.

Those also are not the issue. The issue is preventing killing of Americans by people who enter and have entered the country illegally.

The border wall will prevent innocent American's being killed.

While walking with her father on a beautiful day Kate Stinley was shot in the back by a person who had been deported. As she died gasping for air, she called "daddy daddy".

The man who shot her had been living in a protected status from the SF Sherriff and when released he was not deported he shot her in the back. Does that not bother you? Deeply?
