Do you think Trump has looked at it? Has he studied the geography and topography of the border region? Does he have any idea of where a barrier would be feasible and where it would not? When he first started running his mouth about his "big beautiful wall" he was clearly implying a wall along the entire border. Has he changed his mind?
It's as if Trumpies never had a torch.....they are dirt cheap and effective against any steel. A plasma cutter can be as low as $300. When Dump gave up on the Concrete and Glass/Solar he pretty much accepted that it will do nothing.
Of course, there is a reason that he doesn't point out to his "base" in FL and TX that those states should do e-verify tomorrow. That wouldn't look good.
And to think.....that Coyotes who make 40K for a "batch" aren't going to have basic equipment and much more??? - Heck, a crane or a lift can put a LOT of people over quickly. AND, any proposals for "fencing or steel slats" have timelines of a decade or more...to get PART of the job done.
Crazy talk. Remember, once they cross they can ask for asylum. So if they don't stay out you've already lost.
None of this seems to even slightly concern wall types.
Don't forget drones are a thing. How long before drones powerful enough to lift a person over a 10 foot wall/fence/steel slats/bead curtain will be ubiquitous and inexpensive?
. . . testing by DHS in late 2017 showed all eight prototypes, including the steel slats, were vulnerable to breaching, according to an internal February 2018 U.S. Customs and Border Protection report.
Photos of the breaches were not included in a redacted version of the CBP report, which was first obtained in a Freedom of Information Act Request by San Diego public radio station KPBS.
. . . results of the test after military and Border Patrol experts were instructed to attempt to destroy the barriers with common tools.
None of those breaches were created with common tools that an ordinary illegal alien would carry in his three dollar backpack. Most of them don't even carry a clean pair of underwear or a cutting torch.

IDK. Most illegals crossing higher coyotes to take them across. Coyotes charge 4k a head. My guess is they will be equipped.
Or, more than there'd be if they couldn't find jobs allowing them to send $$$ home. But let's not bother the donors who profit from illegal labor, right?
Hey, I'm all for e-verify....it's not mandatory though.......why did the previous president's make it mandatory?

There are all sorts of YouTube videos with drones lifting people.
There is also one of a Thai SWAT team that climbed a 30 ft wall with a pole. All you need is a rope and you can ferry over a boatload of people.
Ummmmmmmmmmm, you understand what prototypes are for, yes?
And I posted this earlier from the same link:
And also from your link:
Trump said what he said and I provided you with a reliable source, and there are others out there if you don't like NBC news. But why do you want to carry water for Trump and try to twist this in order to make it sound like he said or meant something else?
If Trump is not basing his request for money on a prototype, what is he basing it on? How many presidents have ever been handed billions of dollars to spend on something when they weren't sure exactly what they wanted or how much it would cost? How exactly does that work, does he get 5 billion and come back next week and say "oh I didn't really know how much this would cost, give me another 5 billion"
