To your point,I think it is possible to believe that a strong military is the best deterrence to needing to go to war.I don't know her thinking on the issue but I do think one 'could' support a strong military without wanting to use it just as I can own a gun but wouldn't want to ever shoot anyone.

In any event, she voluntarily joined the Guard and went to Iraq.
