If the Dems were prepared to spend $25B on a wall last year, then how can they be so adamant now that spending just $5B is wasteful and immoral?

More made up fantasies by the far-right.

Also, a social security number doesn't allow you to vote. Green card holders are issued SSN's for tax purposes. Citizenship is required to vote - you can't register to vote unless you're a citizen.

The Democrats as a whole didn't offer. Only Chuck Schumer did (in January 2018) and only because he didn't want another government shutdown. Of course that didn't work. Why? Because Trump doesn't negotiate.

Well, if you look at the difference, first it was proposed by the GOP led house. The $25B was not for THE WALL strictly. It was for all sorts of border security and part of the $25B would provide some "advance" funds for Trump's wall. In exchange, the 700,000 "dreamers" would get a path to citizenship.

So, you tell me, why did Trump not take that deal? Seems pretty good.

House should pass a CR with $25 bill border wall now, and see if it works.

DACA can be discussed later. Just a funding CR for now.

I agree with some of that, but it will be extremely difficult to prove at what age they were brought here.

As far as turning in family members? I think that is fair if all citizens of the country assist their nation by having to turn in any family members who are breaking any laws, or evading taxes or breaking laws with other forms of white collar crime. That work for you?

I would agree with that, as long as its all laws, all socio-economic forms, including turning in those on unemployment not trying for jobs, or those on Disability who are physically doing things requiring like motion vs work, or those on SNAP with under the table income. .

since 2006 the federal government has built nearly 700 miles of wall and fencing with bipartisan support.
