So Trump presented a plan that he "negotiated" with VP Pence and Kushner that absolutely nobody wants? Not the Democrats. Not the Heritage Foundation. Not Ann Coulter. Not his base.

Perhaps Trump's acting Chief of Staff needs to explain how this negotiating thing works.
As a Democrat, I'm very happy Pelosi turned this down. He is offering a TEMPORARY reprieve to the Dreamers, who are already in a temporary reprieve, as the SC is not going to be taking up their case in this coming session. In return, he gets a PERMANENT wall.
He needed to offer like for like--permanent citizenship for the Dreamers--for it to be an equitable offer. Only a fool would think such a lopsided offer was something the other side would even consider. But that's what Trump is, so no big surprise there.
Democrats should make a counteroffer. No deal. No government.
We should not negotiate with terrorists.
Release the innocent millions of hostages you have taken, then we talk.
If Dems negotiate on GOP terms, then GOP will look to shutdown / hostage taking every time they can't pass a bill they want through Congress.
I would have even been good before with negotiation for a wall - wall FOR DACA, etc. - but not now, not ever in the face of right-wing terrorist tatcics.
