Her kids may not feel that way, and that's all that matters. I bet they are all successful in whatever they are doing.

Trump wins, Pelosi wins, it matters not. The real losers in the end will be the people The United States.

She looks desperate - he says OK, your choice.

Point is - Government is partially shut down, and the President is already making plans for the extension of the partial shutdown for March/April. There is no doubt that Nancy will attempt another stunt over the Debt Ceiling. Long goal has to be to do as much damage as possible to the US Economy - that is the 2020 Election plan in the War against Trump.

You Leftists consider that a BIG WIN for Nancy -- Rah-Rah Team.
I'm doubtful that the long this goes on it will be a win - the longer this shut down continues over Border Security, the worse it gets for Nancy & Chuck who refuse to even talk to the Republicans and the President and his team. 10's of 1,000's of Illegal Aliens are headed for our Southern Border - soon we will see the rocks and fire bombs thrown at Border Patrol again. Eventually, the Border between Mexico and the USA will be shut down again as the rush the Ports of Entry.

The Optics are bad for her - Mexico and California will go nuts when that Border is shut down.
Meanwhile ..... enjoy your big WIN

Bookmark this thread .... should be interesting to bring it back.
But, if this was the other way around and Pelosi had backed down, and let Trump give the speech. You and all your buddies on the right, would be on here boasting how Trump stood up her, and put her in her place, and Trump wins again.

Based on you comment you can't recognize truth. Nothing stopping dictator Pelosi from taking action that leads to open gov. Your leader Pelosi is afraid of truth and won't let you or the American people hear it.

Based on that vapid comment, you're upset and desperate in your futile attempts to justify tRump's irresponsibility.

Carry on.

For once, I don't think McConnell is the biggest bad guy here.

Trump has carefully taught McConnell that Trump's verbal agreements mean nada. Not sure what motivation McConnell has to work his members in order to put something together to save Trump's bacon.

McConnell's statement that he won't send Trump a bill unless he knows that Trump will sign it can be taken two ways, IMO. Most people have interpreted it as a sign of McConnell ass-kissing. But a true ass-kisser would tell Trump, "oh, yes, boss, you never said that, my fault for misunderstanding you." I think we're just seeing McConnell refusing to go out on a limb on Trump's behalf. I don't know why anyone could blame him for that.

McConnell is the diametric opposite of Pelosi in almost all ways. But in two ways, they are much alike. They both understand how Congress works, which Trump doesn't. And they are both very protective of their respective prerogatives as the leaders of Congress. Neither see themselves or their members as a president's rubber stamps.
