Speak for yourself Or did you call everybody in the country and ask them if they want a wall on the southern border? If so, how do you even find the time to post here?

The BP wants barriers on the border. They are the ones who see what goes on up close and personal on a daily basis. I guess you know better than them

You know there should really be a CD poll - or maybe a disclaimer added to every post - just joking ...

Do you support no walls anywhere ... existing walls ... only urban walls ... addition of walls in key sectors ... walls everywhere except where topography permits no building or migrant thru-flows ... the original solid 2,000 wall version (this appears to be dead).

It is Trump who started off selling The Wall with still no clarification even today as to proposed footage. (CBP has listed some problematic points but I don't think anyone believes Trump intends to stop there.)

That there's all the crosstalk on this thread is symptomatic of the problem: Plan - Propose - Debate - then Build, is not what is happening. Frankly, if Trump hadn't made this such an explosive issue he could still be adding new footage from border security funds. He hasn't even spent the current funds.

The Fence Act of 2006, as amended calls for consultations with: local officials, property owners, and Indian tribes. The dictatorial aspect of the unamended act did not go down well on the Border. Again, there needs to be discussion and compromise among competing variables.

EDITED TO ADD: I won't take the time to find the link, but there was a CBP press conference within the last few weeks where, when pressed, they refused to provide a total footage number that would be idea for their purposes (which per the statutory authority is not determinative). The official said they are deferring to the White House.

tRump gets his wall if, and only if, Mexico sends him a truckload of Pesos.

So, ask yourself...

"Self, how likely is that?"

Yes, so very lovely.
Pawn shop owners communicate with the police force to prevent this.

It seems cliche to assume pawn shops peddle stolen goods. Some stuff maybe?

Have you seen the shape this crap is in most of the time?

You'd think thieves would step their game up and steal some better crap, but do they?

Where are these pawn shops? In Las Vegas?

Here's my actual recent pawn shop experience. I went into one on about December 27th, and this ticked off lady was dragging a brand new tricycle into the pawn shop and yes, she did literally come walking in from the Projects across the street, Prairie to be specific.

What you think she was gonna do wit da money she got from the vehicle? Who did the vehicle belong to? Do you think she kiped it from her four year old?

I think so. People are pigs.

The wall is never going to happen.

Neither side lost or won by re-opening the government. This battle isn't even over yet. Let's see what happens three weeks from now so stuff your gloating where the sun don't shine.

The wall is never going to happen? Why not, Chucky already approved it back in 2006. Is he a hypocrite?

They are one of the members of the Parrot Club in here, squawk, squawk. They love repeating the same old stuff day in and day out in here no matter how many times you set them straight. Brain damage perhaps?

Trump had every right to shut down the government so where did he violate the Constitution anyway as the poster you are replying to is claiming? He is well aware that he has to get this bill passed through congress and his fighting to do so. In 3 weeks if congress still won't do it then he will exercise another Constitutional right. So again, where is he being a dictator as long as he is following the Constitution to do it?

You're right, these hypocrites had no problem with Obama bypassing congress and doing DACA and DAPA by EO though, did they? For sure that was unconstitutional!

I'll see my first paycheck in over a month now that the government has reopened, I'm happy about that. It may be temporary, but at least I can pay my bills on time and save up for the next and very likely government shut down.

You did not learn that from that last...how many shut downs?

And do tell, if the next government shutdown is in what...within a month...how much can you save and still pay your bills....since you could not do it prior?

How many times does it have to be repeated that the budget reconciliation process would have worked?
