That's funny, Trump must think Republicans are all rich or all poor non working and in the boonies.\

One Republican was interviewed and said he would support the closing if he didn't work for the government and if it didn't affect him, pretty much admitting he's a hypocrite.

MANY federal employees are Democrats
MANY federal employees are Republicans
ALL federal employees want to be working

Many are disabled veterans who depend on their jobs. Many use on-site childcare centers, which are closed. There are many small, civilian owned businesses outside government buildings and facilities which are losing money.

Somehow - poor red states that rely heavily on government programs; have been convinced that they hate the government.

It's right wing brainwashing at it's finest.

What kind of daft logic is this... They're not working, but they still have bills to pay NOW and not all necessarily have big financial reserves.

The truth here is that conservatives just write off all federal workers as leeches. Whether working in science, security, transportation, etc.. doesn't matter. This shutdown just shows that conservatives do not care about federal workers and their families.

Oh, so then you must be in favour of illegals who don't work and collect welfare.

Guess you don't need the wall after all. Good to know you're just one of those rubber-neckers who slows down in anticipation of seeing something gory at accidents.

Some Trump supporting conservatives are a sorry lot of human beings, one might even suggest they're "deplorable".

Which is it, I wonder?

I'd put my $$$ on it all being BS.

All of them don't want a wall on their property? Do you have a link to back up your assertion?

Default Is the shutdown a scheme to permanently shrink government?

This could be genius.

Maybe Trump is squeezing the life out of the government. So many programs will vanish if the shutdown continues for a long time. We could look back and see this as the Great Restructuring. When people realized they don't need government.

That food stamps only make people dependent. That we don't need 800,000 non-essentials.

This is the Great Restructuring of the US Government. At last!
