A key Democrat on the House intelligence committee said the panel plans to start the new session of Congress by aggressively investigating President Trump’s finances, contending that there is already “probable cause” to believe his business was complicit in money laundering from Russia dating back to the early 2000s.

No surprises here. I wonder how this coincides with Mueller's investigation. Wait until those tax returns are revealed..that will be most interesting.

Your not caring that Trump is a thieving gangster does not make exposing his criminality a waste of time.

If Trump would start a new war in the ME they would drop this. It’s what it’s always been about. He’s not in their club of bought and paid for politicians of the military industrial complex.

It’s not that difficult.

This^^^is such a feeble and desperate attempt to diminish and negate the level of Trump's treachery and criminality.

Aw---you are pulling our fingers with more of that blanket whitewashing of Trump's propaganda as to his "popularism" -- total bunk...Trump is no more a popularist than Putin is--

I think that is proven wrong with the men he has put into positions of power
Pompeo, Flynn (before his flaws were brought to inescapable light), Bolton, Kelly--
And others
In fact the new acting head of the Defense Dept Shanahan has long history as representative OF the military-industrial complex...he is a Boening careerist from 1986 to 2017 when he became Mattis's deputy--
If that doesn't make him part and parcel of the military industrial complex I think you are willfully denying facts--no surprise there...

So many others in Trump's Admin have ties to if not the military-industrial complex then certainly the industries they are representing in the Cabinet--

Mnuchin--obvious ties to GS, Ross--definite ties to corrupt money/financial aspects, DeVos--ties to private education industry, Scott Pruitt---long time arm of the o/g industry and other industries who want to prevent EPA's restraint of their business practices; Pruitt'''s replacement Andrew Wheeler is no better----he has long history of sucking up to the coal industry which is usually on the EPA's list of polluting sources.

Ryan Zinke, Interior Sec forced out due to various illegal actions, is another choice pick that proves Trump's standards for those he surrounds himself with and entrusts with the BETTERMENT of the US are totally amoral.
Ben Carson, totally clueless about HUD activities but that makes him more easy to take advantage of...
Rick Perry, who thought the Energy Dept was about oil/gas....
Acosta who appears to have impeded an investigation when he was in the DOJ to protect someone with friends in high places...

Trump has proven that he is certainly as corrupt as any POTUS in American History--and I think he will prove to be THE MOST CORRUPT which lines up with his view of himself as the MOST anything...

And now that he has dug up William Barr for the new AG spot, who had a nice audition under Bush the Smarter when he helped to provide presidential pardons for 6 Reagan Cabinet/Admin officials for Iran-Contra crimes...
It appears he is setting himself up with someone who will be willing to pardon anyone who might be judged guilty of criminal collusion, money-laundering, or facilitating election fraud in the Mueller or SDNY investigations...

So a war in the Middle East would just be a distraction -- a big, expensive one to be sure--from the legal troubles facing Trump, his family, and people inside his campaign and those in the general GOP population...

They claim to hate the Russians, yet the Democrats operate solely on Soviet jurisprudence.

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Eliot Engel (D., N.Y.) announced he will eliminate the terrorism subcommittee in favor a new subcommittee dedicated to investigating President Donald Trump.

"We just thought, if we’re going to do something relevant in this era where Congress is going to reassert itself, where there are so many questionable activities of this Administration vis-à-vis foreign policy, that it made sense to have this," Engel told the New Yorker.
