This revisionist history of Soviets and Afghanistan is currently being pushed by the Kremlin. There is no mention of it anywhere else in the world.
The business of Montenegro being a war like people - once again only Putin and Trump talking about that.
Poland planning to invade Belarus -- another instance of Putin and team Trump on the same page and no one else in the world.
Trump reading a piece at a campaign rally that only appeared for a short time on a Kremlin news outlet.
There are just too many coincidences to call this Trump being delusional. Somehow, he is getting propaganda from the Kremlin and passing it on like it's the gospel truth.
Of course, this will be looked into. Why wouldn't it be?
Why would Putin be pushing Montenegrins as a war-like people when Montenegro has stabbed Putin in the back and joined NATO, denied Russian ships port, etc?
And Montenegrins are the closest thing to a war-like people in Europe. They live in tribes, spout sensationalist talking points how they stopped the Turks etc. Trump probably got it from the Montenegrins himself.

Yes that chatty chat Trump had after he pushed the Pres. Of Montenegro on TV so Putin could see how he roughed up his enemy. Well done good and faithful servant.
You may need to talk to your boss, boxus. It seems the party line has changed. I suspect you’re right to assume Putin will not be successful in changing the minds of the Russian people about the war, but the useful idiots in America, Individual 1 being the most useful and idiotic amongst them, will buy it.
My boss? I am self employed, but, what does that mean?
In a televised cabinet meeting on Wednesday Trump falsely claimed that Russia invaded Afghanistan due to "terrorists going into Russia," a claim that has been widely mocked by journalists and historians, including the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal.
Retired General Barry McCaffrey calls the statement "an astonishing assertion by the president. It sounds as if the talking points were written by the GRU."
Former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi added that American counterintelligence agencies are going to investigate where Trump got these warped ideas.
“The counterintelligence side is going to take a look at why it is our president is siding with a communist regime claiming that the Russians were ‘right’ to go into Afghanistan,†Figliuzzi said, adding that they will want to know if "the president has deliberately chosen to regurgitate the Putin line, the Russian line on this, because he somehow needs to paint Russia in the most favorable light, and why is that?â€

I still have not seen where the FBI has actually announced they were going to investigate this. Some former FBI official said they should. Maybe they will. But it has not been announced yet. Maybe it will fall under Mueller's purview.
