True. The distribution should be normal, not bi-modal like we see here. Really goes to show the bias that goes into peoples' answers around here. I gave him a 7, incase anyone was wondering.

Civility has been regressing for a long time between the two parties, but Trump has accelerated this erosion and made it ok to act like a complete jerk in the public sphere. He surrounds himself with 'yes men' and doesn't read or think critically. He never takes the high road. These are all terrible qualities in any elected leader, but a complete tragedy when that leader holds the highest office in the nation. I won't even get into the Russia stuff...any normal leader in a normal election cycle would be politically destroyed by the evidence that is surfacing, but somehow Trump survives and is even emboldened with continued support from his base.

Trump embodies a mean-spiritedness that has taken hold in this country. There are people that take glee in seeing others cut down in public, labeling people, and seeing harm done to those they disagree with. Trump is not the only problem...we all are as well. We need to demand better from our elected officials and ourselves.

Have to admit that I voted for Trump, but I agree with the points you made here. (the pink)

Very fair and balanced post.

Hahahahaha how in TF does a 1/10 equate with “things aren’t that bad”.

I mean, JFC, at least have some semblance of impartiality.

The GOP should be very scared of these stats if this represents what the rest of America feels. Bottom line is, those who oppose Trump do so STRONGLY so that counts for alot! Trump won't EVER be able to win over 60% of those people because they think he's THAT bad.

On the other hand, only about 25-30% support support Trump. With that kinda math, the path to re-election is zilch for Trump, but the path to prison is wide open!

very good post. I gave a 2. I voted for him in 2016....will not in 2020. I feel bad for my kids though as I can't tell them this is a president to look up too.

He's saying that "perfect" = 10, and "bad" = 1. How hard does that make you laugh now?

So true. I used to detest Bush Jr. Now I miss him. Even Jeb would be a huge step up from what we have now.

Can it be shown that he is directly responsible for "a single positive thing" mentioned in your post? Remember, he's been in office only 24 months. Is it remotely true that he alone brought about all these things since January 2017? Take a look at their trajectories. Is there evidence that they were already in place before this current president even announced his candidacy? Yes. Even including that overblown notion of decreased taxes. He can get credit for a whole bunch of stuff but nothing that's mentioned here.

If this is about his attractiveness or personal charm or charisma , I would give him a zero. But this thread is not about his personality, right?
His personality is part of the problem, particularly his inability to get along with anybody. He cannot even work with those he himself has hand-picked as "the best people," and that is a very serious flaw for the leader of any organization to possess.

I gave him a 2. The tax cut was the perfect time for us to sell one of our income properties. The taxes were rough, but they could have been worse under the old system. He is cleaning up the H1B visa abuses, and even Schumer said he did a good job with NAFTA.

However, I can't get past the lying, the corruption, and his unwillingness to sit down with Mueller. He's hiding something and he looks guilty as heck. There are 17 current investigations swirling around him, and I'm not entirely convinced that he isn't compromised by Putin. That's a dangerous scenario. Shutting down the government because he wants money for a wall, er ah not a wall some nice steel slats is irresponsible and is harming American's. Stealing land through eminent domain is equally as reprehensible to satisfy a shrinking base. Yes it is shrinking. I'm seeing it with friends that have voted for him. I don't have to like the man personally, but I do have to respect him to vote for him, and I do not respect him or his wife. I find it embarrassing and classless that she has naked soft porn pictures all over the internet. Trump's Russian oligarch connections are disturbing and we as a country need to see the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth concerning his shady business ties. The fact that Trump University and Trump foundation were forced to close is disturbing and suggests that he's nothing more than a con man. Ditto with his children and the family run white house. Lets not forget about his many swamp creatures in his cabinet.

Yes there is some good, but it in no way compensates for the rest of the nightmare that is Trump's presidency.
