It is a gap simply because we don't have an accurate number.

It is interesting how the "old" number of 11.7 million was simply wrong and nobody even bothered checking.

One year I did work for the census. It was interesting how many people refused to answer their door or even talk to me. None of them spoke English. They were NOT counted and were working for cash.

Here is the original study:

https://insights.som.yale.edu/insigh...ious-estimates

I think the Yale estimates are low. But they are far better than anything we have done in the past. The 40 million includes the children of illegals. That is the real population number of illegals in this country, even though some of the children are US citizens thanks to the 14 amendment current interpretation.

I have done enough "population" estimates in my career. It is hard enough to count people that WANT to be counted. It is much more difficult to count people that want to fly under the radar.

That would be a rare occasion indeed.

The president doesn't have the power to declare a state of emergency. That is reserved for congress.

I don't know whether he doesn't know that, or he thinks we all don't know that.

I'm going to be at work, but I'm sure I will hear about it.

Any word when the corrected version will air with the explanations of what was poorly planned and said in haste, as in why we won't be rapidly leaving Syria as previously announced?

Trump needs to provide facts and figures as to what he is exactly proposing. It has been all over the map is part of the problem - started with 2000 miles long, and now I am hearing 700 but most of that is already built. The Dems already tried to sign a deal with him on the 700 mile version, which he proposed, and he rejected it. The guy is too squirrely.

Fact-checkers, stretch your hands and fingers, you're going to be busy.

Trump's lies will be fast and furious.

First primetime address. He sounds serious and may have some other announcement as he often does. Lets hope he announces a national emergency and takes the necessary actions to put an end to the democrats failing to protect American citizens.

Here is a link but its not up to date with the latest announcement.

Why doesn't he propose 'thoughts and prayers' to solve his imaginary problem? He certainly seems to think that's all that's necessary to stop gun violence.

He cannot declare a national emergency to build the wall. The wall cannot be built without Congress' approval. America is not a dictatorship.

I'd love to see them stand up in the middle of his BS and scream "YOU LIE!".
