I hear that the Democratic Congress wants to make a law to reveal the presidents tax return for the past ten years. I am all for it, providing all elected officials come under the same scrutiny. I would love to see Alexandria Ocasio Cortez tax returns while she was a bartender. I wonder if she was on food stamps or received the Earned Income Credit or other tax breaks.
Ten years of tax returns for every national office: House and Senate candidates, Cabinet member nominations, Supreme Court nominations and of course presidential/vice presidential candidates.
I would also like to see ten years of records for any civil court cases the individual has been a party to, as either plaintiff or respondent.

That would be a 4th Amendment violation anyway angle you come at it.
Maybe last 2 years as President are open record. But not as a private citizen.
Trump could lock that up in the courts for a decade.
Just apply the laws that every Federal employee must follow when they apply for a Federal job:
1) proof of US Citizenship.
2) All high school and college transcripts.
3) A written statement from a Doctor that they are in good enough physical shape to do the job.
4) Disclosure of stocks and assets owned. I would add to that debts.
I really don't care about Trumps tax returns, but I really did want to see Obama's college transcripts. I really didn't care about Bill Clinton's sexual diseases, but I did want a Doctors certification that he was physically fit for Presidents. I don't care about Trumps tax returns, but I would like to see his stock holdings and debts.
Really folks, the Federal employees work for you. So do the elected officials. They are NO DIFFERENT than regular Federal employees and they should be held to the same laws.

Yeah, I'd support that for any elected official. Especially those like Pelosi-who funneled government contracts to her husband's company, or Maxines-who channeled bailout money to her husband's bank.

I want congress to make all of their tax returns public. Including donations from multi national billion dollar for profit corporations. As well as foreign governments.
and what are you people going to discover looking at tax returns? if the I.R.S doesn't have a problem with the tax returns why would anybody have a problem? To bash them on the deductions they took and complain about the tax laws for political gain?

looking at tax returns doesn't tell you anything unless you have subpoena powers and a database to match information with employers, contractors, and bank institutions and only the I.R.S. has that not the public or the news media.
