I won't address your next topics because I am not "up" on immigration statistics enough to refute or agree with what you said. But you do have the first one incorrect. Trump definitely tried equate the Obama's "wall" with immigration. Even though there really isn't a wall there.

Ya, he should have said, "parts of it are"

Dismissing Trump's tendency to make up stuff and criticize journalists for pointing out the lies/misinformation is an interesting way to show support for Trump.

I know - the wall around the OBama's house is a silly thing to 'fact check' -- but it was a stupid issue to bring up in the first place. Trump sets the tone.

If he was debating or discussing in a more sophisticated manner, journalists would be forced to abandon the trivial fact checking.

Trump -- as the President -- sets the tone.

We are asking journalists, Trump critics to be better than Trump. We are asking them to dismiss all of Trump's ridiculous statements, claims, etc. because it isn't fair to Trump.

Sure other politicians have twisted the truth or had misinformation or lied...but not to the same extent or frequency. If Trump stuck to the facts & didn't try to overstate things for the drama of it all, journalists wouldn't bring up the wall around the Obamas house.

No -- he shouldn't have brought it up at all. It is irrelevant. It's not the same thing at all.

You have walls on the house you live in... Correct? Or do you live in a pole-barn?
You have doors and windows... Correct?
Do people knock on the door?
If you don't answer, do they kick it in and break all the windows?
Once they are in, are you forced by your Master to treat them as if they were your children?
If they get hurt, are you responsible for them?

In Texas, we even have a natural MOTE and it doesn't stop them, enough. It is a deterrent though, on a cold winter day.

The 3 out of 10 people that have no interest in seeking the truth are the ones tuning into CNN and they believe everything they have to say. I feel bad for those people.
