In my opinion, the desire to change has to come from within.
I have several friends who use Dipping tobacco on a regular basis, no enough of shaming can really make them change, until they realize they are ready for the change.
Does it? I'm asking because I don't know. It seems to have been supplanted by opioid problems.
yes the meth epidemic is getting worse even though you have limits on allergy medicine now. I looked up a general search on arrests site in my tri-county area under "drug arrests" and there are way more for meth than opiates in recent months

I was curious. Here, and another area I keep track, has seen Meth arrests almost disappear to be replaced with opioids.
I guess requiring smokers to smoke outdoors like vagrants is working. After all, that's exactly what you thought you saw when you mistook a smoker for someone peeing in the bushes.
I don't smoke, and no one in our family smokes. But as much as I dislike smoke, I'd rather associate with smokers than people who give their fellow human beings a dirty look, and think they deserve a pat on the back for it.
And as for "ratcheting it up," lol you sure make a brave noise. I can only wish that I were a smoker and you were the busybody scold who'd approach me. I wouldn't need anyone's help for "a good line."
Yes, I only wish they would hurry up and get it over with. The Stench of a smoker-pig is overwhelmigly-disgusting.
Spray some deodorant from a can near them? </sarcasm>
