Those who earn higher incomes aren't on public assistance.

I also haven't been impacted by the shutdown at all. Maybe in a couple months when I file my taxes maybe.

Though I do live near a city where certain neighborhoods have many Democrats who are dependent on food stamps. Once that gets impacted things can get hairy. I think that's the time "wall" we're running up against when food stamps and Section 8 housing start getting impacted. Most of them are Democrats who depend on these things but this can lead to societal chaos. When food stamps and Section 8 start getting affected is when this whole thing becomes "real".

But a Keyboard Financial Advisor? That’s a new one.
It's not my advice. It's standard household financial management advice.

Do you know how many military families get assistance? Some just need to shut up and sit down!

Wow. Are you a poll taker to know the families on sect 8 are dems? Most repug states are the ones with the highest public assistant numbers. I will remind many of the stick ups on these forums. VETS and active military get assistance. - get off your high horses before karma shows up at your door one day !

And why is air traffic control even a federal job? I always though controllers work for the airport authority. That job can definitely be privatized.

Trump supporter logic...

why is air traffic control even a federal job?

Because we want the ATC to actually work in support of the industry/country not a for profit entity in a natural monopoly function.

Maybe the Democrats should get their azzes back to DC, from their lobbyist funded vacation down in Puerto Rico & get to work? Trump is there waiting for them. It's all about priorities.
