She said we shouldn't be ruled by a small number of gay extremists back in 2004 and apparently, her father has a history of being anti-gay.

She has since apologized for the comments and said that she is committed to fighting for equal rights.

Should this disqualify her from getting the Dem nomination?

She should be disqualified because of her meeting with Bashar al-Assad

This is as absurd as going after Kavanaugh for some event (which turned out to be false) when he was 18.

Who the hell cares what she said 15 years ago?

I wouldn't blame her for what her father thought.

If all she ever said about gays was she wouldn't be ruled by a small number of extremists I can agree with that. I don't know her history, and she has never been on my radar before now. Perhaps there is more.

I doubt she will go far in the primaries, unless something remarkably good or special about her comes out that I am unaware of.

You have no way of knowing that.

Here is one that the democrats will cannibalize for not being radical enough. Poor Tulsi, should have ran for office in Tulsa. Mean-lentils won't vote for her.

We attacked him, not the other way around. The aggressors certainly have a way of spinning things.........

That said, yes she was raised in an anti gay household. We do not get to pick our parents. In her teens very early twenties she supported the anti gay marriage actions of her parents. At this same time, Hillary and Obama were also against gay marriage.

She has said that since getting out on her own she learned why it's bad to be so divisive and worked to make gay marriage legal.
