McDonalds Egg Burritos w/a slight bit of Sausage, Jack-in-the-Box Chicken Fajita Pitas, and In-N-Out Burgers are okay with me, but yeah...I wouldn't serve them to guests.

I would have thought the White House would have had it's own catering staff and that a buffet would have been the sensible option.

Obviously it is a College Football Team and not a high ranking official visit, but still.

In the early 2010s I was sitting in my car in a McDonalds parking lot on Biscayne Blvd in Miami doing some paperwork. A guy pulled up a few spaces away (no cars between us) in a new Rolls or Bentley (can't remember which). He got out. The clothes he was wearing fit with the car. He was youngish middle aged. His body was kind of like Trump's is now. He walked in, and came out with one of the biggest bags/orders (the food part...he only had one drink) i'd ever seen. He sat in the car while eating one large burger and some fries. He then drove away.

IIRC, earlier in the thread someone posted that such staff have been furloughed/are part of the government shutdown.

Okay - that makes more sense, although why didn't Trump just bring in a professional private catering company rather than fast food outlets.

The best part? Individual 1 paid for it out of his own pocket. It kind of makes sense now, doesn’t it?

This time the anti Trump people are correct. Fast food, at the White House? Can't make it up.
