It’s great that he took time from golfing to honor these kids, but serving them fast food it just tasteless much like the food.

Hilarious that Trump bragged about paying for it, looks like he spent no more than $2,000.00

Honestly, he probably could have had it catered for less money if this was about saving money.

But it is VERY tacky. I've planned a few events for companies I worked for in regards to our Christmas parties and award banquets and I would have gotten an earful of complaints from janitors if I served them fast food lol.

He could have gotten a small caterer to furnish a decent, healthy meal for less than $3000. This is maybe 200 folks, I'm thinking for the team and the staff.

He probably spent $2000-$4000 on fast food.

I threw a banquet at a Brazillian Steakhouse once for $3500 for about 125 people and it was all you can eat, fresh meats (including, steak, chicken, lamb and even fish for our pescatarians) and veggies/other side dishes along with nice looking Brazillian wait staff (who my own staff loved - old ladies enjoyed taking pictures with Brazillian "hunks" lol).

Nah, they and their coach were just something Trump is unfamiliar with: polite

I don't care that he served junk food. Really. I think it's crass, but that's a personal bias, and I own that.

But the REASON he did this bothers me. The shutdown is hurting people, and he has complete ownership & control over it. He seems to believe he really put one over on everyone. But he didn't, and the disconnect is really disturbing.
