Inaccurate and incorrect are two different things.
Accurate and correct are also very different than Inaccurate and incorrect. No matter how you want to spin it, this is a major slap in the face of buzzfeed and anyone who believed their story.
Probably best to drop it and stop trying to parse words.
I have no idea what Buzzfeed's problem is, but I believe the story is basically correct, and we will find that Trump told people to lie to Congress and about the meeting with the Russian lawyer. Hope Hicks admitted Trump asked her to lie, so it is not like this should come as a surprise.

This is a good take from No-Trumper David Frum. The Buzzfeed story as it stands put alot of eggs on some pretty big faces but it did not change underlying premise of the story. Woodward and Bernstein royally screwed up on an aspect of the Watergate story with H.R. Haldeman. They had the story correct but blew one aspect of it.
In the end the investigation continues and none of us knows jack. Buzzfeed took the story to the Special Counsel and they offered a No-Comment...in retrospect they should have commented if they had issues with the story.
I will say this - I didn't jump on the bandwagon in either of the Buzzfeed threads that were floating around yesterday.
However, the story basically forced Mueller to repudiate it regardless of the accuracy of its content. If the allegations of suborning perjury were true, Mueller would know that Trump would be desperate to shut down the investigation out of self-preservation and may start drastic action to do so resulting in a real crisis. If the allegations of suborning perjury were false, Mueller would know that Trump would truly believe that the Special Counsel's office was on a witch hunt using fake evidence and would feel justified in shutting down the investigation as a result. By denying it, he has put Trump at ease by giving Trump the sense that he isn't on Trump's scent (if Trump did indeed suborn perjury) and that he isn't involved in pursuing fake evidence (if Trump did not).
Mueller's office was thus compelled to issue a sufficiently vague denial of the Buzzfeed story so that his investigation can continue free from interference from Trump. It may turn out that the story was pretty much on-point but that it's characterization of the testimony and evidence was (or example) 99% accurate rather than 100%. Or it might turn out to be completely false. Either way, Mueller was pretty much forced to issue the statement he did.

A close reading of Mueller's statement supports this. It isn't vague. It carefully says that Buzzfeed's depiction and characterization of documents and statements made to Mueller's office aren't correct. It does not deny that Trump ordered Cohen to lie to Congress.
There's another thing at play here: MSM is using this to pile on and trash BuzzFeed, trashing them as much as possible. MSM is doing this for business reasons. It's an opportunity to crush a competitor. MSM hates internet-based alternative journalism.

Keep clinging...don't worry, the next "Gotcha" will be fed to you in 3,... 2,...
