They're plaguing Mississippi too, which, btw actually lost population in the past year. This despite firm conservative control over all branches of government there (all Republican too, btw). BTW, don't bring up "it's got a lot of blacks". Georgia's black population is of roughly comparable percentage, always has been. Yet, south Georgia aside, that state's never had economic ruin within the past 70 or so years.

BTW, the lowest rates of poverty in rural areas are in the upper Midwest, New England, and the Pacific Northwest...all moderate-to-liberal areas.

Yes, of course.

That is why many people buy vacant buildings for a lot of money so that they can take a tax break.

Google it.

Denver and many big cities used to be fun with unique elements to them.

I enjoyed my time in Capitol Hill but that was 2000-2001 before Denver became a dysfunctional city that it has become.

I visit because I am from from there but I have have interest in the new Denver. It's become a very dangerous and depressing city compared to what is was in 2000.

Paying top dollar for an awful atmosphere doesn't interest me.

Can't even imagine living in the city of Denver these days. It's a very dangerous city compared 2000, smells like marijuana in many neighborhoods, lots of open-air drug use, massive and very aggressive homeless population that is desperate and who can blame them the weather is horrible much of the year and the price of everything has become insane.

Colorado has a much lower minimum wage but downtown Denver has slowly priced the small businesses out and it's mainly chain retail now.

Not to small business owners that going out of business left in right in expensive big cities.

The big chains love big city socialism as they will have much less competition.

Liberals love to limit choice. $15 minimium wages, massive REIT that won't rent until they command top dollar and socialist level taxes will certainly limit choices in big cities to big chains that trade on wall street.

It will be so interesting when the $15 minimum wages are fully implemented in big, liberal cities and places that pay $15 an hour plus lots of other benefits and taxes will have to really raise prices through the roof.

A cup of coffee and stale roll in big liberal cities with big minimum wages will likely cost more than a gourmet dinner in flyover country.

Do you not understand that those small business owners are having a MUCH tougher time in any random small Trumptown than in big places like NYC?
