There is that. The stockpilers got themselves so worked up during the "Scary black man will take mah guns" years, they managed to drive prices on guns and ammo through the roof. Gotta stock up before they're illegal! The gunmakers were of course ecstatic, but now there's a glut of firearms, nothing was made illegal, the gravy train has just stopped.
I should probably pick up a rifle while they're cheap. See if I can get back in my old shape, I wasn't a bad shot back when...
You do know that the first AW ban was under Clinton. You think he's a scary black man?

Good point. The Clinton Assault Weapons Ban created the surge in AR-15, and other military looking semi-auto firearms that we still see today. Back in 1994, very few people had them. When people are told they can't have something, then of course they WANT IT. Those people then discovered how accurate, versatile, and fun to shoot the AR-15 and others were. The rest is history. The AR-15 is now the most popular, and common rifle in the U.S. Thanks Bill!!!

The funniest part of these "bans" is seeing really smart people come up with work arounds that allow us to still keep buying them.
That reminds me, I fragged a 6.5 Grendel bolt last week. I've read about it but didn't think I'd get to see it myself. New bolt is boron.
Hmmm...fascinating. And wouldn't you care to guess why?
This just goes to show you that what NRA and right-wingers need to energize their base and juice up demand is fear and crisis. That's what this machine feeds on and when it does best.
Quick, someone manufacture a crisis! They're coming for youuuuuu...

Most of my clients are in the UK, Portugal and Italy.
The hot mover .308 uppers. Assembled and individual parts kits.
9mm Modern Sporting Rifle kits are 2nd in popularity.
I'm only milling 80% lowers for people domestically, with an upper every now and then.
Gun sales rise when whackos are in the White House and threaten banning them. When a rational POTUS is in office, gun sales fall.
When the USA eventually becomes Venezuela, firearms and ammo, are going to be considered currency.
Firearms are a good investment, for Marxism taking hold.

This is no big deal, gun prices fluctuate all the time.
