Hmmm...fascinating. And wouldn't you care to guess why?

This just goes to show you that what NRA and right-wingers need to energize their base and juice up demand is fear and crisis. That's what this machine feeds on and when it does best.

Quick, someone manufacture a crisis! They're coming for youuuuuu...

Even without Democrats' gains in November's midterm elections, the industry was facing a so-called "Trump slump," a plummet in sales that happens amid gun rights-friendly administrations.

"There was no one to beat up. You didn't have President Obama to put up in PowerPoint and say 'He's the best gun salesman, look what he's doing to our country,'" he said.

"Numbers are down," he added. "You can't deny it."

Just right-wingers, right?

Just after Barack Obama’s election in November, Rahm Emanuel, his chief of staff, made this memorable statement to an interviewer: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

That was dumb. Hillary wasn’t gonna have any impact on your right to own a firearm anymore than Obama did. And Obama sold more guns than any president in history.

The gun manufacturers have made this bed for themselves by funding the hyperbole. Now they’re in a cycle that’s excruciating for them. They hate Democrats but now have to depend on them to make good profits. They love Republicans, but Republicans KILL their bottom line when they have power.

Idiots. Just goes to show you how the United States has more fools than any other nation in the first world. These manufacturers are corporatists...they’re supposed to make moves that actually help them to stay profitable no matter who’s in office.

We have had a ten your run of record gun sales. Those levels are not sustainable every year. If the Dems make more noise about yet even more gun control laws, sales may spike again.

So I take it then you don't support Clinton's and other democrats position then when they say they favor a Australian style ban and you do contact your congress person to tell them you don't support it when they start legislation for it and vote against them in the future when they favor such legislation?

I keep reading how some say it is the NRA and corporations scaring people that their guns will be banned yet the only people I see actually starting legislation and passing it is when they have a majority is democrats. I do see the NRA fighting back against said democrats though.
