Well... to use the logic that I've heard Conservatives repeat so many times *ahem*: all this could have been avoided if they just took their hats off... if they had just anticipated how other people would react their clothing... if they just adjusted their behavior to make those strangers around them not feel uncomfortable... None of this would have happened.

So I wonder how many Conservatives will cry over the next few days that it was unfair for young White males to be profiled for JUST wearing a MAGA hat, but then turn around and justify young Black/Brown males being profiled for JUST wearing a hoodie? Matter of fact, I wonder how many Conservatives will completely miss the parallels and act like the two are different?
Cops have the right and duty to question people they find suspicious, based on their clothing or anything else. And you, as a non-cop, can profile people in MAGA hats all you want, but you do not have permission to harass or intimidate.

And just so we're on the same page... How many more examples do I need to bring of Republicans on the national stage for you to admit that you should just sit there and be quiet?

So if someone who is not a cop decides to harass someone just bc of what they're wearing, we should assume you would be vocally opposed to that behavior, right? Regardless of who it was, right?

Absolutely. Cops have a duty but someone on the street does not have the right to harass ANYONE because of what they are wearing.

Glossing over the fact that Martin was harassed for who he was and what he was wearing doesn't sound like you actually believe that we shouldn't harass people based on what they're wearing. Taken in context, it sounds like you believe we shouldn't harass some people, but others are okay to harass.

Thank you for reminding me!! If things were getting heated why stay there?! If they hadn't been wearing MAGA hats I can guarantee this would have never happened.
