Obviously, because she is young, pretty, accomplished, energetic and popular, and does not give a damn what the naysayers think of her. They cannot even remember what that was like.

When you look at some of the bizarro GOP members like Jordan, King, Gomert and Nunes, there is hardly room to talk--clean up your own house.

What scares me is she’s obviously very stupid and communistic in her ideals and yet she had enough people think she was intelligent enough for them to vote for her and send her to Congress. The movie Idiocracy is slowing coming true.

I think that when she’s eligible to become president, she would probably get elected. She’s smart, young, energetic, and is against racism, sexism, and homophobia! She also has plans for our economy that will help everyone in our country.

I like the way you phrased your question.

And as I'm just now coming off threads where conservatives are damning Nancy Pelosi...

I will suggest that the mere fact that she's smart, energetic AND A WOMAN makes conservatives hate her. Look at the venom directed at Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, et al.

Speaking as a Democrat, I don't know much about her, and I find her a little mouthy and would be happy if she'd shut up for maybe six months and learn the ropes, but I certainly wish her well, and think her goals are admirable.

She's a bug eyed, alien looking, freak show with horrible policies. Anyone who listens to her needs help on understanding the truth and what works.

If she's so smart why does she support horrible policies that fail? rhetorical You won't answer because you don't know squat about policy.

she's stupid and I dont support any policy where I am supporting people undeserving. end of story, keep your socialistic ideals to yourselves. I dont care if they are my neighbors, family, acquaintances, we all have bills. I dont feel you deserve your hand in my wallet to pay for your own bills. You are as successful as you make yourself. Not to mention the pandering support to damn illegals and those alike. They dont have a right to ANYTHING. let alone being allowed to be here, repulsive.

She is genuine and it is obvious that she will not phony it up for anyone.

To be quite frank, most conservatives regard Cortez as an excellent face for the Democrat left. And they think she is a source for almost endless amusement and laughter.

You go, girl!

In fact, if you were to interview Democrat leaders in Congress, I believe you will find much more agitation with Cortez and her antics coming from those people than you will from conservatives or Republicans.
Man you guys are trying so hard.

I understand why they'd be scared. Her economic policy beliefs are antithetical to those of conservatives. She's a subscriber to Modern Monetary Theory, which I'm personally intrigued by. However, conservatives are deathly afraid that she'll popularize this doctrine.

Don't forget Individual 1. That alone gives them zero room to talk. Individual 1, who's not only ignorant but honestly doesn't care that he's ignorant and never bothers to educate himself or correct past mistakes. Contrast that with AOC, who's intelligent, passionate, fairly knowledgeable in some areas, and clearly seeking to educate herself in others. Sometimes she misspeaks but she's pretty good about addressing it when she does. At least she's not, you know, an outright serial liar.

Excuse me but:

1. My use of "smart" was quoting Hapa.

2. If you're going to rant about "horrible policies" it would be helpful if you were specific. If you're paranoid about socialism, I'll point out that she's actually a social democrat, I think, and those policies are ending up with better results in some countries than our cut-throat capitalism.

You don’t like her because you don’t find her physically attractive?
