It will only get worse too.

The growth in the national debt has been suppressed with ultra low interest rates...now that interest rates are rising - even if modestly - the national debt will accelerate much more.

Sure it does.... Republicans spend and spend, Dems tax and spend... one is better than the other when it comes to deficits, which should surprise no one who isn't mathematically-challenged.

Both teams tax and spend, both teams give taxes cuts to their favored groups and both teams engage in deficit spending. One team talks about reducing spending and doesn't, the other team brags about all the spending it does. At the end of it all America is broke.

National Debt is over $21 trillion, about $65,000 per person.
