An Army veteran says he was asked not to wear a shirt that read “2016 Trump for President” at a gym in Troy, Mo., on the ground that it made members uncomfortable and was “racist.”

Their gym, their rules.

Many gyms have dress codes.

Does the code ban all political messages or images on clothing? Then those are the rules. Or is it just this particular one?
You don't just declare that something you don't like is racist or bigoted. That can easily get out of control and it then can apply to anything that someone says it is.

I saw a bumper sticker on a guys truck yesterday from the 2016 election and thought the guy was brave to have the Trump sticker on his truck because it is such a trigger word for the weak minded that are prone to vandalism and violence.

I wouldn't open myself up to have my truck keyed or something.

What is it with the Left that can't handle the word "Trump" or MAGA written on a hat?

Would the Covington High school kid with the MAGA hat even be a front page story if not for the frail Lefties? Would he still be receiving death threats for the incident?

Get over it people and relax we are gonna be fine.

I don't know and I don't care. It's a private business and, last I checked, political affiliation is not a protected class anywhere in these great United States.

It isn't really about being triggered - it's about being punitive. The loons on the far left who push tolerance want to punish anyone whose ideologies don't align with theirs. They're serial sickos.

Guys in big pick up trucks are OK to have Trump or MAGA stickers on their truck. Lefties tend to be intimidated by the type of guy that often drives those trucks, and leave them alone. They'd rather pick on high school kids.
