It is because Democrats get votes from anchor babies of illegal aliens once they turn 18.

It has nothing to do with national security for them.

If you were born here, you are a citizen. Is it any wonder that citizens you demean do not see things the same way as you do?

Other than just the fact that they detest Trump, I don't understand their refusal to compromise in anyway on this issue. It's not just a "wall", it's a way to gain control of the borders of this country and help protect the citizens within.

It's not a party/politics thing, it's for our national security. Why would they want uncontrolled entry into our country?

Maybe someone can enlighten me.
The Democrats have proposed $5.7 billion for border security.

What lie will you post next?

Neither party is for border security or we'd already have it.

Correct-and that is why a wall is so important. The portion of the wall already completed (~650 miles) has cut criminal aliens by over 50% since the early 2000s. It works-and has funneled criminals and drugs to the ports. Completing more of the wall will contribute even more. This allows manpower that was used to try to defend an unsecured border to be redeployed to the ports, and frees money to invest in more inspection equipment.

There are far, far more people here illegally than the governments numbers claim. Walls are not stopping anyone.

These ranchers would disagree with you. Many drugs and humans are crossing through their properties not legal ports of entry.

US ranchers near Mexico weigh in on border wall, shutdown talks

Historic lows? 18,000 a month are still crossing our border illegally every month so so-called historic lows are irrelevant. Get back with us when only a few dozen are getting into our country every month.
