That's why so many CEO types take a small yearly pay and have all their money in stocks to get the much lower tax rates. Those types of things.

I get that the more people make by sheer math the more you should pay. I just don't think it's fair that if you make 10 million dollars your tax rates jumps up to 70%, yeah, I get it's marginal or graduated but whatever.
The top 10% earners pay 70.88% of the total tax collected. If you wanted everyone to pay the same percent of income, it would probably have to be 25% or 30%. A person earning $30,000 can't survive if they have to pay $7,500 or $9,000 income tax plus payroll taxes, how would you address that?

That's where the fair share kicks in, I don't claim to know all of the details, just loosely saying we need to pay our fair share, how ever the math works out.

Every American would have to pay $12,000/year in taxes for everyone to pay the same dollar amount. That would mean an effective rate of 40% or higher for the median earner, and where would children come up with their $12,000 every year? Would that mean that a family with 3 kids, that each parent would have to pay $30,000/year (which would be $60,000 for the household)? That is the median individual income in this country
Well, wouldn't the obvious solution be to cut the hell out of government? Get rid of SSI, the Dept of Education, the NEA, NPR, antiquated subsidies, welfare, SS, food stamps? Just have the government for the two things it was intended for: to protect the safety of Americans; and infrastructure. But to do that, you have to get rid of the left, because they are all about big government.

No, it wouldn't. Those things you mentioned are popular and aren't going anywhere. Especially social security and food stamps

That's nuts and you know it. You want working people to sleep in their cars so the filthy rich can buy a spare yacht?

What an obtuse generic bot-like post that sounds as if it came directly from the basement of the Kremlin.
