No_Recess, you should get out into the real world a little more before making a less than educated statement about OUR Police Officers, who will come running when we're facing an emergency... Like being murdered or raped.
Gun control advocates aren't even trying to take guns away from drug dealers - only from law abiding citizens.

it is b/c of the left that criminals are shooting police and claiming police brutality....it is the left who encouraged looting and riots back when this all started, and stood there and watched while kids stood on top of police cars jumping up and down, burning store fronts...breaking windows and looting their very own communities....and these are the people who are shooting cops (one parent, one, out of all those kids and young adults came out and drug her kid home) and the woman dem mayor stood there and watched them doing nothing, while they tore up their own community and the property of others....and these same people with such a deplorable moral outlook with no respect for laws....breed? Pathetic....

To take a report an hour after it happens.(that is why having a gun for self defense is important)
Why were these cops not in SWAT gear? If they were they were doing something wrong to get shot. The right equipment could have protected them.

I'm from the Houston area, and from what I got. It was a SWAT raid, and some big time drug dealer, was the one being raided for black tar heroin. I think SWAT gear doesn't cover your whole body and someone with a semi-automatic pistol is likely doing a spray and pray kind of shooting against these officers.
What's amazing is one of the officer's at 54 years old has been shot three times in hi 30 year career on the force. Houston isn't as dangerous as n the 80s and 90s but those are still some crazy numbers of times to get hit by a bullet.
This changes things imo, maybe instead of focusing on the cops that got shot, focus on WHY they were shot. I think too many people skip that and jump to quick conclusions.
Its kind of like that guy in FL that shot a cop when he was trying to disarm him in his own home, in that case, he was in the right imo and the cop was in the wrong, cop should not have been attempting to do that in the first place.

Unless your name is Robocop, SWAT gear/body armor doesn't protect you from an ambush. Body armor increases your chances of survival. Plus, you don't even know what kind of weapon (pistol or rifle) that the drug users used
You know what that means? Almost certainly POC...and very highly likely ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
