As to who did this - we'll see. Chicago can be racist but we don't really see many incidents like this taking place in Chicago. And yes, we would hear about them.

Oh well, there are cameras all over the place so hopefully they catch the guys that did this.

Something seriously does not add up here.

I'd say it's very likely they knew him and gave him a beating while trying to throw off suspicion.

Was he out at a gay club and 2 dudes in there had it in for him, followed him outside and made up the MAGA crap?

Apparently he received death threats in letters sent to him last week with homophobic & racial slurs so this looks like it was a targeted attack. The FBI is investigating.
Of course the MAGA conspiracy theorists have arrived.

As to what he was doing at 2 AM???...He was at a Subway shop getting food after getting in from the airport.
