..well the liberals sure fell for this scam....which is also totally logical
Not all of us. Mostly just the ones I can't stand, apparently - Kamala, Booker, Biden, Don Lemon, etc. Whole thing smelled like crap to me right from jump.

LOL...beat me to it.
Of course the lib tardz excuses would be "but..but..but...he's a person of color and if he made it up then white society is to blame for it (and EVERYTHING else) because he didn't feel cared for and no one was listening to his misunderstood cries for help in a world that is not sympathetic to the plights of his race!!!"
I am truly saddened by this whole mess. Jussie Smollett is a very good looking young man with enormous talents. He's a good actor and he has a great voice. He didn't need to do this. Unfortunately, he seems to have been blinded for his hatred for "45," as he calls him.
He could have been somebody but, now the world will never forget this. He just may pay the price for the rest of what is left of his career. But, then again, he may just join the ranks of Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mark Wahlberg, Tupac and many, many more famous people who's convictions never seemed to hinder their careers.
Time to hire personal security guards? This rabbit hole gets deeper and deeper.
The legal experts are saying that if (when) he is charged, what he did is a felony in Illinois punishable by up to 3 years of jail time. If he does get jail time, he will need a lot more than personal security guards to survive prison.....

Before this incident the majority of Americans had never heard of this guy. I know I hadn't. I asked a bunch of my friends what they thought. Same reply. No clue who he was.
In fairness to Uggabugga, he expressed disbelief in the first post when he started the thread.
And I vote for this as being the most comical in expressing one's disbelief:
