There is going to be lots of backlash. What I am hearing (and yes folks would say most of the sources are liberal) are how damaging his actions are to so many people.

It just makes no sense.

If he did what the cops allege he should go to jail. Very simple.

In no way did I say he has a mental health issue. Have you never sat across form someone that says something rather grandiose and then tell them that they are being delusional? It's a term that has more than one usage. Having faulty judgement is not a mental illness. It's deluded thinking when taken to the extreme like this case. Jussie Smollett committed one of the grandest acts of fraud, racism, homophobia and plain old hatred. It was a premeditated act in which he wanted to sully an entire group of people.

Smollett wouldn't be the first actor to get a big head and lose sight of the line between himself and the character he plays.
Thanks. That's it in a nutshell.

Did they explain how being attacked would impact his salary? This makes no sense to me.

Then again, everything he did and the way he did it makes no sense. It's like an eight year old concocted the plan.

How fitting that this moron finally got what he wanted, nation and worldwide attention and publicity.

I had no idea who this guy was before, I don't watch TV series shows.

Yup -- and he should.

We should not tolerate this kind of behavior. It's disgusting. No justification ever.

One sick person this Jussie.

No. But I would imagine raising his public profile would raise his salary ... in his mind.

I'm sure he'll blame Trump and say Trump made him do it.

Glad they found out the truth, he should be charged for all the time the police were tied up investigating. The PD Chief had some spot on remarks to open, he wished they had this type of attention for the violence in Chicago/
