This comes across as being 95% likely to either have been staged by someone he knew and he participated in it or he made the whole thing up and it never happened.

I have my doubts, something about this story just doesnt add up.I doubt two thugs are going to hang around an upscale part of chicago on a dangerously cold night at 2 am waiting around in the unlikely event that the guy you want to attack is going to show up.A gay meet up or drug deal gone bad is a more likely scenario, the fact that he waited 40 minutes to call the police makes me even more suspect that he need the time to come up with a good story.

He said that? Man, this thing smells worse all the time. What are the odds that racist thugs are going to be wandering around the streets of Chicago at 2 AM with a noose and a bottle of bleach just hoping to run into him? I predict this whole thing unravels by the weekend, and he'll announce that he's been under a great deal of stress and is checking himself into a treatment program.
