How can she possibly win on these issues, and even if she does, how can she deliver??
I know what you mean. She knew just the right buttons to push with that liberal California base of hers.

If her objective was to score a $174,000/yr job for 6 years (at least) making promises she can't keep and pad her resume, then well played.

It doesn’t work. The numbers don’t even come close to working for our own citizens if we had no illegal immigration at all. They are so far off it’s laughable.

Isnt it a pretty bold assumption that any government program of this magnitude would ever actually cost what experts predict?

Sorry. I dont trust the government to run healthcare. They cant (wont) even pass a budget.

‘Medicare for All’ Would Cost $32.6 Trillion Over 10 Years, Study Says

Washington (AP) -- Sen. Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for all" plan would boost government health spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years, requiring historic tax hikes, says a study released Monday by a university-based libertarian policy center.....
HISTORIC TAX HIKES??!!
I'll say! The current budget is 4 trillion for everything, including paying maintenance on the national debt. So adding another 3.2 trillion per year will be a burden.

Put another way, 3,200,000 thousand - that's 3.2 trillion - divided by 310,000 Thousand - that's 310 million - people means everyone has to come up with 3200000/310000 = $10,322.58 every year to pay for M4A.
But since only about 160 M people work that figure comes real close to $20,000 per working person per year.
I love math. I hate what it reveals.

In reality, the wealthy would fund most of it, so someone making say $50k/year would probably only pay $5k-$7k in taxes towards it, which is not out of whack with private market premiums for a couple right now

As for Medicare for all. We pay for medical care now. It is not 30-40 trillion of NEW expenses. It is just a question of who collects the money and pays the bills - be it insurance or the government. The overall cost to society could very well be less if the overhead of private insurers is removed.

It is high time we get a national health care system that is affordable and open to all like the rest of the civilized world has. It need not be Medicare for all. I don't know that Harris is locked into that. It's a good campaign slogan but not the best idea IMO. Personally, I prefer a capitation system administered by private non-profit entities to a single payer.
We need to get government out of healthcare. People need to pay for themselves. Other people should not have to pay for other people’s stuff.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly is your (and the Left's in general) big problem with ICE?

Be specific.
