Yeah, but I'd pay it for MY insurance, not yours or Jose's or the unemployed, unwed mother with six kids by six different daddies.

How can she possibly win on these issues, and even if she does, how can she deliver??
Trump ran on a platform of replacing Obamacare with something wonderful that would take care of everybody at a tiny fraction of the cost. At some point between the election and his inauguration, someone must have educated him as he did not mention healthcare in his inaugural speech. Shortly, thereafter, Trump let loose with “ no one knew healthcare was so complicated !”

He supported 2 bills that were not wonderful, left millions uninsued and and would have imposed higher premiums for a large percentage of the population. Those bills failed.

.
Not too diff than Trump’s base giving him a pass on healthcare.

This Single Payer/ Medicare for all thing would be DOA in Congress, regardless of who sat the oval or which party held the majority.

Bernie’s agenda would have been DOA, too.

Single Payer/ Medicare for all is as out there as much as a free market healthcare system.

They failed because Democrats lined up and voted against them. If Trump "left" millions uninsured, then it was Obama who failed them, not Trump. Evidently Democrats were fine with the 2 mil being left out; why else would they vote to defeat the bill?
Democrats voted to defeat Trumpcare '17, and now claim it was Trump's fault that it did not pass. The fact is, that was their sole intent when they voted to defeat; they wanted to claim that Trump had failed.

May we assume that Pelosi has a bill coming that would solve all the problems that Obamacare left unsolved? Or will you leave things as they are so that you can claim the failure was Trump and Trump's base?
I think you have demonstrated what your tactic will be.

It doesn't work and she knows that. She's desperate to get elected and so trying to go as far left as possible to satisfy the new Democrat base.

Never Happen

Winston Churchill wrote that “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.”

The New Democratic Socialistic Party might be better off selling this in Cuba

Why is that funny? There were not millions of illegal aliens receiving healthcare from a system to which they never contributed, which is what Harris is advocating.

Yeah, this is one of the key challenge for democrats: how to balance support for increased funding for programs that disproportionately help the poor, while at the same time championing lower skilled (and hence disproportionately poor) immigrants.

While no (major) democrat technically supports open borders, many have adopted a position that we should only deport violent criminals. To a lot of people thats going to look like defacto open borders.
