Nope. The blaze from the flames of the burning wealth tax, the end of private insurance, carbon taxes, government controlled educational curricula, and disarming law-abiding Americans keeps me warm enough.

It's interesting to me that some people are commenting that Schultz is a champion of liberal causes, while others are convinced that he's a capitalist who wants to set fire to entitlements.

One of the reasons I love discussions like this. Much to learn.

i suspect Michael moore's words to boycott starbucks will be as relevant to the majority of citizens, right or left, as the Deep Thoughts of alyssa Milano and Joy behar. I drive by starbucks almost everyday and the drive through line is always around the block for that company's vile tasting, calorie laden brews.

The THREAT from all of those is real, and daily. It also keeps me vigilant. It is the Fundamental Transformation in which the Left dreams, and is attempting to solidify. We aren't Europe. We were never meant to be Europe. We left Europe, and started exceptionalism.

He's liberal on social causes and conservative on economic policies. Just the combination our country needs. He's not perfect, but the best option thus far.

Maybe - but, so far he's been woefully short on any sort of details. Platitudes are nice, but you need have a relatively solid plan for the how, not just the what.

Nobody is kicking him out.
Oh, I'm sorry, I mean harassing him out. lol

Getting rid of Trump isn't a viable excuse to do this. Didn't you learn that two wrongs don't make it right?

The left is raking more and more "wrongs" lately and it doesn't make it right. It makes it ugly.

Independents are full of Americans who no longer want to associate themselves with team politics and we're growing. That should speak to you. Ask yourself why.

https://www.bustle.com/articles/1576...ou-think-it-is
Even though American politics is focused on two binary political parties, the Democrats and the Republicans, the 2016 primary cycle has shown that independents are the voters to watch. In fact, independents are the fastest growing constituency of American voters.

I believe this ^ is one reason the left is afraid of independents and they should be, but trying to harass a candidate out of the race will just solidify the reason I'm an independent. These tactics are why I left the Dems.

He does seem to have a grip on the income inequality issue.

I just don't know if he's dynamic enough to beat Trump.

It's still so early on yet, though.

Oh. allow me:

wealth tax, carbon tax, 70-90% income tax :: Various mechanisms to transfer large swaths of wealth from private citizens to the government to fund a massive entitlement state

End of private insurance, characterization of private insurance premiums as new, lifelong tax payments :: Medicare for all

Common core, College indoctrination studies :: Free college, Free pre-K, College loan forgiveness.

Gun control :: For when people figure out the government is taking most of what they produce to fund this socialist utopia, they'll have no recourse.

---

I read a quote the other day from Doc0, "You can vote your way into socialism but you have to shoot your way out."
