Pretty horrible and deplorable for you to refer to your fellow Americans that way. Most conservatives are neither of those things. I pray someday you lefties you grow up but I won't hold my breath.

I think the deplorable shoe fits for modern conservatives as well, especially the ones who want the wall....

The nomenclature of "liberal" and "conservative" has grown so muddled that either can mean anything. Especially post-Trump, who really knows what a conservative is now?

IMO a much better way to distinguish is between 'collectivism' and 'individualism.' The further left you go, the move collectivist, with socialists being (for practical purposes) on the far left end of the spectrum. The further right, the more individualist, with libertarians being the far right end of the spectrum.

This explains a range of phenomena. Lefties favor high taxes, with much spending occurring at the collective level. Rightys prefer low taxes so that more spending happens at the individual level. Lefties prefer guns in collective hands (police/military) only. Rightys want them in individual hands. Rightys favor school vouchers; lefties oppose. And so on.

You have it right. I can't add much to that.

It's backward/bizzaro world - opposite world. Like when we were kids and tried "backwards day".....

The only other fitting term is "hypocrites".....but it's all based on one thing, IMHO. Greed and Selfishness.

No not at all. That's because you are conflating the populist/neo-fascist Trump movement with conservatism. Trumpism has nothing to do with conservatism, Republicanism, or any other platform based on traditional beliefs or goals.

There are still plenty of true conservatives. You will see them vote against Trump in the 2020 primary. And if he is on the ticket in 2020 you will see a good number of them voting against him.

I agree with your first paragraph; not so much with the second. Bannon was Trump's chief strategist and architect of his campaign. Bannon is more of an old school, Truman/JFK Democrat than anything.

Trumps approval rating among Republicans is over 80%. Who knows what his ideology really is? However, he has governed as a persuaded conservative. In some ways he has actually been more conservative than Reagan. Reagan never installed a school choice advocate as Ed Secretary, for example. Reagan favored an 'assault weapon' ban; Trump doesn't.

Only the uninformed feel this way. Not one conservative policy has failed which is why you never once mentioned policy in your silly post. It would expose you. btw There is nothing moral about government. Nothing.

Care to mention which conservative policy fits your childish description? You won't because discussiong policy would expose the big government policies you back as complete failures.

The progressive mantra is based on theft and tyranny.
